Track & Race

Track + Race LS consists of the following components:

RFID Transponder

Ground points are labeled using the RFID transponders (e.g. shelf columns, alley entrances, storage bins outside the shelf). These markers are used to track the truck, to navigate and as well as to position it. Passive glass tubes are delivered, RFID transponders from a reputable manufacturer.

RFID antenna

The RFID antenna collects the RFID transponder that was laid in the ground. It is attached at the underside of the truck and is adapted to the transponder layout so that the reading of the transponder is secured.

Track + Race RedBox: RFID Control Electronics

There is an Onboard Control Unit with an RFID Reader and controller hardware for mounting on the narrow aisle truck, including interfaces to the RFID antenna, Height Sensors or Loading Sensors and the radio data terminal; software for the determination of the storage place coordinates.

Sensors

Loading Sensor

One ultrasonic sensor is designed per truck. The assembly takes place between the front forks. The sensor is mounted in a protective tube in order to protect it against damage.

Reading field: 40 cm - 160 cm
Protection class: IP67

Height Sensor

A two-part ultrasonic sensor is designed per truck. The Assembly is done at the side of the boom. The sensor is mounted in a protective tube in order to protect it against damage.

Lift recognition up to 400cm.
Protection class: IP67

Software

There is software installed on the Track + Race RedBox as a control for the RFID Reader, for the localization of the vehicle and the fork, as well as the determination of the state of charge. The exchange of data with the superimposed warehouse management system is done via a Standard RS232 interface at the truck terminal.
